Langhe Freisa peculiarities are very similar to those of Nebbiolo, with a ruby red colour and orange hues tending to garnet with ageing. The unmistakable perfume is delicately aromatic with notes of red fruits and roses and with spiced undertones of cloves and liquorice in the finale. The flavour is dry and warm but agreeable and lightly tannic
